Prof. Prasanna Belur and team received a project grant of ₹ 1.39 Crore for a research project on Areca nut

Prof. Prasanna Belur & team from NITTE University received a project grant of ₹ 1.39 Crore for their comprehensive and conclusive study on the carcinogenicity of Kempadike (red Supāri). Prof. Prasanna Belur (Principal Investigator) from NITK Surathkal and Prof. Giridhar B.H, Dr. Anirban Chakravarty and Dr. Keshava Prasad (Co-Principal Investigators) from NITTE University shall carryout the  “ Evaluation of the tumorigenic potential of Areca nut (Areca catechu) using an integrated approach involving epidemiological, experimental, cellular, and proteomic analyses” in two years. The project is being funded by “FUNDCAP LLP”, New Delhi.
